Event description:
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the next event in the TED TALK series on Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 pm in the Frost Kalnow Room. The talk will feature “Verna Myers: How to overcome our biases? Walk boldly toward them.

TED Talks are short, powerful videos from expert speakers featuring topics on technology, entertainment and design. A video will be shown and then discussed as a group. According to www.tedtalk.com, “Verna Myers looks closely at some of the subconscious attitudes we hold toward out-groups. She makes a plea to all people: acknowledge your biases. Then move toward, not away from, the groups that make you uncomfortable. In a funny, impassioned, important talk, she shows us how.” No registration is necessary. For more information, call the Library at 419-447-3751 or go to the online calendar at www.tiffinsenecalibrary.org.
